Hildegaard Link P.E., Ph.D., Assistant Teaching Professor

    Biography: Hildegaard holds a PhD in Geography/Earth & Environmental Science from the City University of New York. She also holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Environmental/Civil Engineering from the Cooper Union for Advancement of Science, and a Bachelors in Foreign Languages and Political Science from McGill. In addition to bringing years of teaching experience as a lecturer at Hunter College, Brooklyn College, and the Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York, she is a licensed engineer in NY State and has held positions as an Asset Manager with the NYC DEP Croton Water Filtration Plant, a Senior Engineer at Consolidated Edison of NY, focused on Energy Efficiency, Power Generation, Environmental Health and Safety, as The Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent for Westchester County, as an Energy Research and Conservation Engineer with the NY Power Authority, and as a Process Control Engineer with the NYC DEP Bureau of Wastewater Treatment. Dr. Link has written several peer-reviewed articles on water, energy and on risk management and adaptation to risks in coastal cities.
