“Can Courts Save the Climate?
Juliana v. United States”

Presentation by Cymie Payne - 2/20/2019

In 2015, twenty-one young people sued the federal government to demand a science-based program to reduce U.S. GHG emissions on behalf of themselves and future generations. Since then, the case has wound through the courts. Where is it now? What will happen next? What difference will it make? Professor Payne will explain and speculate on the Julianacase, and will provide an update on other climate change litigation.
